Data Center QA/QC Technician – Structured Cabling
Data Center Environment | LongTerm Contract | 50 Hrs/Week
We're hiring a QA/QC Technician to support large‑scale data center structured cabling projects. This role is 100% quality‑focused – auditing completed work, documenting findings, and helping ensure installs meet required standards before turnover.

Key Responsibilities
Work behind installation crews to inspect completed telecom infrastructure and validate quality, readiness, and compliance.
Quality Audits & Inspections
Perform daily QA/QC inspections across active data center sites
Audit completed fiber and copper cabling, racks, and pathways
Verify workmanship, routing, labeling, dressing, and testing
Ensure installs meet
BICSI, TIA, OEM specs , and project standards
Identify nonconformances and potential risks before turnover
Documentation & Reporting
Document inspection results, deficiencies, and corrective actions
Maintain organized QA/QC logs and inspection records
Deliver clear, professional reports to site leadership
Collaboration & Improvement
Communicate findings clearly with supervisors and installers
Recommend corrective actions and process improvements
Support quality or training initiatives when requested
Required Qualifications
2+ years in structured cabling or telecom infrastructure
Strong understanding of data center environments
Knowledge of fiber & copper cabling, racks, labeling, and cable management
Familiarity with industry standards (BICSI, TIA, OEM specs)
Detail‑oriented, quality‑first mindset
Comfortable working independently
Clear written and verbal communication
Nice to Have
Fiber testing or inspection experience
OSP or technical support experience
LMS or training documentation experience
Ability to assist install teams during downtime (when needed)
Ideal Candidate Profile
Thinks like an auditor, not just an installer
Knows how to spot issues before they turn into rework
Is comfortable documenting problems – even when it means pushing back
Wants to be on the quality side of the project
Work Environment & Schedule
Active data center job sites
Monday‑Friday
7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (~50 hrs/week)
Overtime currently aligned with production demands
PPE required (safety boots, etc.)
