Location:

Open to all Harris Beach Murtha offices (Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Long Island (Uniondale), NYC, Rochester, Syracuse and White Plains, NY; Boston, MA; Bantam, Hartford, New Haven and Stamford, CT) for a hybrid opportunity.

Qualifications

3+ years of Business Immigration paralegal experience required

A Bachelor’s Degree in a field emphasizing writing or communication

Experience in business and family-based immigration (preferred not required)

Superior writing/editing skills for complex support letters and strong written and oral communication skills

Experience with MS Office and expertise with computer assisted legal resources

The ability to manage multiple high-volume priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a professional, cooperative, positive and flexible attitude

Job Responsibilities

Manage high‑volume corporate client accounts and work closely with clients to provide comprehensive immigration services

Compile and maintain records of immigration filings, other documentation, and records of activity on behalf of clients

Review immigration regulations and be able to apply them to various case scenarios

Perform research using all available immigration research tools including government agencies' websites

Write detailed and complex supporting argumentation

Salary & Schedule
Salary information below will vary based on relevant experience, geographic location, and scheduled weekly hours.

Anticipated weekly schedules:

Albany, Buffalo, Long Island (Uniondale), New York City, and White Plains, NY

: 40 hours/week

Ithaca, Rochester, and Syracuse, NY

: 38.75 hours/week

Massachusetts and Connecticut

: 35 hours/week

Salary ranges:

Albany and Buffalo, NY:

$31.25 - $40.87/hour

Ithaca, Rochester and Syracuse, NY:

$32.26 - $42.18/hour

White Plains and Long Island (Uniondale), NY:

$33.65 - $43.27/hour

New York City, NY:

$36.06 - $45.67/hour
