2nd Shift – Monday to Thursday, 3:00 pm – 1:00 am

$19.00 per hour plus shift differential ($1.25 per hour for 2nd shift)

Job Summary for Material Handlers
Material Handlers move materials to and from production areas to ensure an efficient production flow. They perform inventory transactions, including transfer and location audits.
Responsibilities of Material Handler
Move all materials to and from manufacturing areas and keep floor inventory properly stocked and organized.
Accurately record all transactions and transfers and complete all required forms.
Verify prescribed accuracy levels within assigned inventory locations.
Participate in the recount team during floor counts.
Utilize problem‑solving methods to resolve inventory discrepancies.
Work with Receiving and operators to ensure prompt notification of items on the "hot list."
Fill picking locations in both warehouses daily and rotate stock properly; maintain effective working relationships with other associates.
Perform duties safely, using all approved safety equipment as instructed.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Actively participate in and support teamwork and continuous process improvement.
Demonstrate flexibility and commitment through cross‑training and helping other departments per business needs.
Serve as back‑up to the Shipping Department.
Qualifications of Material Handler
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
At least 18 years of age or older.
Three months or equivalent experience in inventory control with strong math and organizational skills.
Understanding of materials flow is preferred; computer knowledge helpful.
Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
Ability to effectively use power jack, pallet jack, calculator, electronic counting scale, 2‑wheel hand cart, computer terminal, ladder, reach truck, order picker, RF data collection gun, and automatic shrink wrapper.
Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs continuously and occasionally up to 75 lbs, sometimes in difficult work positions.
Must perform job with a high level of accuracy and follow standard procedures for completing inventory transactions.
Strong problem‑solving skills.
