
Plotter Operator- Material Coordinator

Overview
Randstad is currently seeking a highly motivated self‑starter for the position of Material Coordinator in Atlanta, GA. You will play a critical role in bringing new packaging solutions to life by managing the hands‑on execution and processing of sample requests. Your daily responsibilities include utilizing ArtiosCAD, SAP, and WebCenter to complete plotter sample requests, which involves the precision cutting, folding, and gluing of paperboard cartons for customer evaluation. You will also maintain the plotter room equipment, troubleshoot machinery, and use laminators or creasing tables to create specialized Z‑Flute samples.
Responsibilities
Actively monitor, maintain, and control work schedule and back‑log (design/plotter request routings, plotter sample requests, mockup requests, etc.).
Cut prototype samples for customers and testing.
Utilize ArtiosCAD, SAP, WebCenter, and Outlook to execute plotter sample requests.
Use a laminator and creasing table to create Z‑Flute samples.
Understand and apply knowledge of board types, grain directions, and other materials.
Troubleshoot plotters and contact vendors for preventive maintenance.
Maintain the supply room—keeping it stocked and organized.
Order supplies for the plotter room and the Innovation and Design team.
Complete board orders for the plotter room and put away board orders upon receipt.
Coordinate with designers and customers working on projects to complete samples on time and with great quality.
Identify and help develop continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive the development and modification of plotter room standards, tools, processes, and training materials.
Assist in developing and applying plotter room related documentation, process detail, specifications, and intellectual property protection processes.
Search for cost‑saving initiatives.
Essential Functions

Manual lifting up to 35 lbs.

High School Diploma or GED.
Visual 2D and 3D skills, mechanical aptitude, and high proficiency in the MS‑Office Suite.
0–2 years of experience in paperboard carton structure design preferred.
Solid understanding of substrates.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Capacity to meet short deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Detail‑oriented team player ready to contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Pay & Benefits
Salary: $28–$35 per hour. Shift: First. Work hours: 8 AM – 5 PM.
