SUMMARY
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing all shipping, receiving, and dock operations for KCK CEHWC Partners. This role includes receiving and processing deliveries, distributing packages to Partners, handling incoming USPS mail, and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of mail to all Partners. The clerk maintains an organized dock area, tracks shipments, and supports efficient internal distribution of materials.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Maintain accurate electronic and hard files pertaining to KCK CEHWC (i.e., contracts, budgets, RFPs, proposals, etc.)

Provide administrative support for the Site Director, including maintaining the calendar, events coordination, communications, etc.

Reconcile credit card statements for the Site Director.

Assists in the creation of the KCKCC Monthly Reports for the Board of Trustees.

Enter all invoices and requisitions into Ellucian for approvals, working closely with KCKCC employees to ensure requisitions are included in monthly board reports. Distributes purchase orders upon creation to service providers. Able to differentiate between KCK CEHWC and KCKCC invoices.

Works closely with the KCK CEHWC Condominium Association Board and all Partners.

Works closely with all KCK CEHWC vendors.

Mobilize KCK CEHWC service providers for campus issues (I.e., security, trash removal, goose waste, etc.) from call‑ins, as necessary.

Quick data entry skills balanced with strong accuracy and acute attention to detail.

Schedule electronic recycling.

Oversee shredding in the KCKCC space.

Replenish batteries, office, and breakroom supplies for KCKCC staff and faculty.

Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Good customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to operate a forklift and powered pallet jack.

Operation of motorized maintenance equipment.

Occupational hazards and safe working practices.

Reading and Writing skills.

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Follow written and oral instructions.

Read simple diagrams.

Work independently.

Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

Must demonstrate a commitment to and ability to work with a diverse student and faculty population.

High energy, self‑starter who can work with minimal supervision.

Detail‑oriented.

Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

At least 6 (six) months of logistics, retail, or customer service experience.

Must have a valid driver’s license and a clear motor vehicle record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Two (2) or more years of experience in shipping and receiving functions.

Experience working in a warehouse environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk, sit, and occasionally push or lift items. Significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

Physical ability sufficient to lift 50 lbs. of material and carry several feet.

Physical ability to work around the clock.

Physical ability is sufficient to work in extreme temperature ranges.

Hearing ability sufficient to notice alarms and mechanical malfunctions.

Visual ability is sufficient to drive vehicles.

WORK SCHEDULE
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Must be able to work a variable schedule/hour to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours.
