Ensures theinstrumentation is functional and removes defective devices from service. Maintains sufficientinventory and par levels of supplies and instrumentation. An understanding of disinfection andsterilization methodologies and processes is required. Provide excellent customer service exhibitinginterpersonal skills to user departments, vendors, and team members. This position requiresattention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to efficiently prioritize demand. Participation inenvironmental maintenance responsibilities is necessary to meet regulatory requirements. SterileProcessing Technicians are responsible for following infection control recommendations andstandards as described through accreditation agencies. Technicians are expected to engage in othertask as needed to maintain functionality of the department.
**Education**
High school diploma or equivalent required
**Certification & Licensures**
CRCST Certification required within 18 months or 2080 hours of hire date
**Qualifications**
Ability to self-direct and function efficiently under minimal supervision required
**FLSA Classification**
Non-exempt
