The North American Consumer sector is growing rapidly and serves a broad base of leading and high‑growth clients across Retail, Consumer Goods, and Leisure, Travel & Tourism. We provide clear, actionable growth strategies using advanced analytical techniques, large‑scale primary consumer research, and behavioral science.

We are hiring at the Senior Director level to support our growing Consumer Goods business. The role focuses on Revenue Growth Management (RGM) advisory coupled with end‑to‑end commercial excellence experience. The individual will join a high‑performing unit delivering best‑in‑class RGM strategies across the consumer goods universe and is expected to advance into a leadership position within the practice.

How you will create an impact

Serve as a vital member of our Consumer consulting team focused on Consumer Goods strategy with a particular emphasis on commercial excellence.

Cultivate trusted‑partner relationships, source projects, and develop proposals that drive revenue generation.

Deliver solutions through deep content knowledge and client relationship skills within the Consumer sector.

Identify client pain points and develop custom solutions for complex strategy engagements.

Participate in proposal development and pre‑sales meetings with potential new clients to expand Simon‑Kucher’s commercial footprint.

Own client engagements and projects within the Consumer sector, specifically Consumer Goods organizations.

Provide exceptional client service and communication, even during challenging times.

Lead and mentor a large, talented team of junior consultants, developing actionable insights using data, analytics, and research.

Manage multiple engagements and project teams concurrently, coaching and developing team members.

Drive the continued growth of Simon‑Kucher’s Consumer sector by identifying new business opportunities and supporting end‑to‑end proposal development.

Develop and deliver thought leadership in collaboration with peers and seniors in the Consumer sector.

Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to our clients.

Recommend opportunities for process and tool improvement.

Participate in recruitment and integration of new Consumer consultants.

Champion the firm’s culture and success.

Your profile

Outstanding drive, determination, and desire to be part of a growing, top‑tier consulting firm.

Strong knowledge of and passion for the Consumer sector, especially Consumer Goods.

Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree (MS, MA, MBA, etc.) preferred.

Minimum 10+ years of experience in a professional services environment, ideally in management consulting for the Consumer sector or Consumer Goods.

Expertise in growth strategies, go‑to‑market strategy, segmentation, product and portfolio design, pricing, marketing, distribution, sales, and monetization.

Access to a network within the North American Consumer Goods industry, preferably senior executives.

Proven ability to build relationships, identify client pain points, and develop executive‑level solutions.

Track record in identifying new revenue opportunities with existing clients.

Owner of client engagements balancing success, profitability, and satisfaction.

Team‑first approach: recruiting, developing, coaching, motivating, and retaining talent.

Experience building and leading a Consumer sector practice focused on profitable growth, intellectual property, and employee enrichment.

Success in managing complex change or program management projects.

Strong analytical skills to distill insights from large datasets.

Acknowledged problem‑solving, directing teams, and meeting tight deliverable deadlines.

Record of managing multiple engagements, budgets, schedules, and accounts receivable.

Executive‑level presentation and communication skills.

Inclusive, empathetic leadership fostering cooperation across teams.

Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.

Pay range (New York): $240,000–$275,000 per year, plus potential annual performance‑based bonus. Compensation may vary by relevant experience, skills, location, and business needs.
