Summary
The Child Mind Institute offers graduate students in doctoral psychology programs 12-month externships in the following six tracks:

Anxiety Disorders Center externship

ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center externship

Autism Center externship

Clinical Assessment and Research externship

Gund Learning and Diagnostic Center (Neuropsychology) externship

Mood Disorders Center externship

Bubrick Center for Pediatric OCD Center externship

Externs will receive at least one hour of 1:1 supervision per week, as well as an additional hour of supervision in group formats. In accordance with NYNJADOT-PSYDNYS Externship Guidelines, externs will also receive direct observation at least once per academic semester.

Each externship will begin on July 1, 2025, with a mandatory orientation that will take place July 1 & 2, 2026. The externship will end on June 30, 2027.

Each extern reports to their respective center Senior Director, or Training Coordinator.
