Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Cath Lab Director and in conjunction with the Cath Lab Medical Director, performs various radiological procedures.
Prepare patients for exams/procedures.
Monitor patients during procedures.
Perform specialized radiologic procedures according to departmental protocols.
Work in various areas and with various equipment.
Assist with QA and QI studies, and patient flow coordination.
With limited supervision, use independent judgment to obtain the best diagnostic images.
Maintain and monitor equipment operation and calibration.
Maintain a positive working relationship with Physicians and staff.
Assist the Radiologist / Cardiologist with procedures and maintain sterile technique during all invasive procedures.
Other duties as assigned by Dept. Director.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Special procedures, CT or Cath Lab experience preferred.
CRT required.
Fluoroscopic permit required within 1 yr.
ARRT required.
ACLS Required.
Must work various shifts including weekends and be able to be on call.
CPR required, venipuncture for contrasting within 1 year.
