Job Description
The Oracle Report Writer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise reporting solutions supporting the organization’s Human Resources systems and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform. This position provides technical expertise in data extraction, report development, analytics, and reporting governance to ensure leadership, HR, Finance, and operational teams have accurate, timely, and actionable information for workforce planning, financial management, compliance, and strategic decision‑making. The Oracle Report Writer serves as a key resource for enterprise reporting initiatives and collaborates closely with business stakeholders, application teams, and IT leadership to improve reporting capabilities and data quality across the organization.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain reports using Oracle reporting tools (e.g., BI Publisher, OTBI, Smart View, or equivalent).

Build and maintain SQL queries, datasets, and structured data extracts.

Develop automated and scheduled reporting processes.

Create standardized templates and reusable reporting components.

Ensure reporting solutions meet organizational performance, security, and governance standards.

Support Human Resources reporting, including workforce planning, position control, compensation analytics, compliance, and dashboards for HR leadership.

Assist with internal and external HR audit requests.

Develop reporting solutions for financial planning, including budget preparation, forecasting, variance analysis, departmental performance tracking, and resource allocation.

Collaborate with Finance teams to align reporting with chart of accounts structures and planning cycles.

Validate and reconcile data between Oracle systems; troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve reporting issues.

Support integration and data feed validation for reporting environments.

Maintain documentation of data sources, report logic, and definitions.

Work with HR, Finance, IT, and operational leaders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Maintain a catalog of enterprise reports and associated documentation, supporting organizational data governance, security, and audit requirements.

Participate in enterprise reporting strategy initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.

Experience: Minimum five (5) years developing reports in Oracle environments, strong experience with Oracle SQL/PL‑SQL and Oracle reporting tools (BI Publisher, OTBI, or equivalent), HR or financial system reporting, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Preferred: Experience with Oracle EPM / Hyperion reporting, healthcare or public‑sector organizations, workforce analytics, financial planning and budgeting processes, enterprise dashboard tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent), data governance frameworks, and reporting standards.
