Insurance Customer Service Representative
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our Team. You’ll work closely with agents and staff to support quoting, processing, and servicing personal and commercial lines accounts. This is a customer service-focused role that requires strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and a proactive mindset.
Responsibilities
Enter client information and applications into AMS360 (or similar system).
Communicate regularly with clients to maintain strong relationships and provide exceptional service.
Conduct annual phone reviews with clients prior to renewal.
Prepare and present new business proposals, premium summaries, and renewals.
Re-market accounts as needed to ensure competitive coverage and pricing.
Process policy changes, certificates of insurance, binders, and building cost estimators.
Answer billing questions and provide explanations related to premiums and policies.
Review audit information and assist clients with understanding the outcomes.
Send and follow-up on endorsements when required.
Correspond with company underwriters to resolve client-specific needs or concerns.
Keep track of daily suspense items to ensure follow-up and closure.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Hands‑on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
Professional attitude and appearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Customer service attitude
Qualifications
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License is preferred.
1+ years of experience in insurance customer service.
Experience with agricultural insurance accounts is a strong plus.
Proficiency in AMS360 or similar insurance management systems is a plus.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Knowledge of insurance policies, renewals, and related documents.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
