This PRN opportunity as a Mental Health Technician (MHT) at River Park Hospital's Huntington location offers scheduling flexibility. Hours will vary each week based upon need.

Mental Health Technicians develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum. MHTs assure and improve quality care by facilitating the patient and family's right to receive safe, quality, and cost‑effective care. MHTs maintain and protect confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information. MHTs demonstrate a commitment to meeting the learning needs of patients by utilizing appropriate resources to achieve positive patient outcomes. Technicians are required to conduct patient rounds related to routine and heightened observation status as well as interact in a therapeutic manner to decrease crisis within the patient care setting and to demonstrate respect and understanding for patients, peers and other clinical disciplines and participate as an effective member of the patient care team to implement an integrated approach to care while demonstrating leadership behaviors and commitment to the development of self and others.

Qualifications
River Park Hospital is a 165‑bed facility and a leader in behavioral health care located in Huntington, WV. River Park provides acute inpatient services to children, adolescents, adults and seniors and features a 22‑bed residential treatment program for children and adolescents and a 25‑bed adult forensic unit.

PRN positions within the hospital do not qualify for any benefits.

Mental Health Technician Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Six months experience in a mental health setting preferred
