RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops techniques used to standardize and calibrate imaging and therapy equipment.
Recommends therapeutic and radiation safety procedures for patient care.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
Constant: sitting.
Frequent: standing, walking, stooping/bending.
Infrequent: reaching below shoulder.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
Maybe exposed to radiation.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Master’s degree or doctorate in physics, medical physics, or related field.
State of Hawaii license in Radiation Service or licensed under The Queen's Medical Center facility.
B. EXPERIENCE
Four (4) years experience as a medical physicist in a Radiation Therapy or Diagnostic Imaging setting.
Experience with Brachytherapy, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT).
Prior leadership or supervisory experience highly desirable.
