
Registered Dietitian (RD)

Position Summary
The primary purpose of your job position is responsible for the planning and implementation of the nutrition care of the patients in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations, clinical guidelines, and policies and procedures.
Provides oversight in coordination with the Culinary Services Manager to ensure that safe and accurate food service is provided to the patients.
Must have SNF experience
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in dietetics or nutrition related field
Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a dietitian in this state.
Two or more years of experience in a skilled nursing care facility (preferred).
Responsibilities
Knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures and the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in the long‑term care facility.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Dietary Department, its programs, and activities.
Coordinate dietary services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Nursing, Housekeeping, Social Services, etc.)
Develop and maintain written dietary policies and procedures.
Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of dietary service areas; perform regular inspections of dietary service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
