Job Summary
Experienced machinist. The primary purpose of this job is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple machines at the same time
Operate CNC machines and run proficiently
Oversee set up and tool changes of CNC lathes and mills
Education/Certification
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience
2 - 6 years machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including 3 years of CNC experience or journeymen machinist.
Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
Ability to work with small precision parts to very close tolerances.
Capability to use basic inspection tools and techniques.
Capacity to understand and follow through with verbal or written instructions. Good understanding of shop math.
Proficient with interpersonal relations, organization and communication skills.
Equipment Used
CNC Lathe and/or Mills
Physical Requirements
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Standing for 8+ hours per day.
