Schedule: Monday-Friday; Per Diem, Varying 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Purpose Statement/Position Summary
The Office of Training, Education, Career Planning and Development (TECPAD) supports research trainees at all career stages and academic levels. We offer educational programs and events, including seminars, workshops, symposia, and poster sessions, to foster collaboration and learning within the pediatric research community. The student intern is responsible for providing project support for a broad range of critical initiatives as defined by leadership including projects related to operational and financial performance improvement, clinical quality, efficiency, safety improvements, strategic planning and business development, network development, program review and expansion, policy and government relations or any special project outlined by leadership.
This role is a Per Diem position, typically 1-3 months in duration, not to exceed 1 year, and is a Non-Benefitted position. Student Interns typically work between 12 and 30 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Applicants with relevant hospital or managed care experience will be given preference.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Must have strong follow-through, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
Administrative experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully both verbally and in writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education/Licensure/Certification
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled and expected to receive a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field of study or internship program/department from an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
Pay Scale Information
$21.40-$21.40

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
