Job Description
Work Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 7:00PM-7:30AM

Responsibilities

Follows strict infection control standards, including proper use of PPE, disinfectants, and patient safety protocols (ID, consent, time-out).

Performs high-quality CT scans per provider orders, ensuring accurate imaging while adhering to radiation safety (ALARA).

Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify contraindications.

Administers IV contrast safely and monitors patients for adverse reactions throughout the procedure.

Maintains equipment, completes quality control checks, ensures accurate documentation, and supports efficient workflow and patient care.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as Fuji/Agfa PACS application, CT scanners and workstations Siemens SyngoVia, EMR such as Cerner/Epic. [Required]

Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures. [Required]

Maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures. [Required]

Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, shielding and distance to keep exposure levels as low as reasonably achievable for patients and staff. [Required]

Ability to complete exams in an acceptable time frame to meet ED/Observation TAT goals. [Required]

Ability to assess, start and confirm appropriate placement of IV’s for use in CT studies. [Required]

The ability to assess, explain and perform CT and XR studies on patients of all ages. [Required]

Ability to learn and complete CTA Reconstructions. Specifically, Cardiac CTA. [Required]

Education

High School Grad or equivalent [Required]

Work Experience

3+ years radiology experience [Preferred]

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) [Required] OR

Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)ARRT)) [Required]
