F&B Manager and/or Assistant Banquet ManagerJekyll Island Convention Center, Legends Global managed facility, has an immediate opening for part-time banquet servers.**Position Summary:**This position provides a high quality catering service for banquets.**Qualifications:*** Must be 18 years of age or older* Must be able to work unsupervised* Must have attention to detail* Must have good oral communication skills* Must have strong customer service skills* Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events* Must have strong interpersonal skills* Must be results driven, follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed* Must be able to work flexible hours.**Major Responsibilities:*** Assist with collecting all banquet equipment to include flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces needed for each event* Prepares garnishes, beverages, condiments, and breads* Clean and fill salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, creamers, etc* Assist with preparation and set-up of event room when necessary* Prepare tables with place settings as instructed* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the standard drink recipes* Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages* Establish and maintain positive client relationships* Breakdown tables and banquet equipment after each event* Clean and return serving pieces to proper storage area* Performs cash handling and/or cashiering functions based on demand* Perform other duties as assigned**Physical Demands:*** Daily lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. Up to 10 minutes at a time.* Constant reaching, standing, walking and stooping* Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination* Must be able to balance and have good manual dexterity* Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events* Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of timeOur employees are self-disciplined, hard working, curious, trustworthy, humble, and truthful.
