JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the safety, operation and repairs to rides and back of house equipment. Manage, Weld Shop, Fiberglass, Paint, Machine, Sheet Metal, and Hydraulic Shops. Ensure customer satisfaction on all delivered products. Manage work processes to establish and maintain efficient workflow. Plan and schedule all work and develop processes. Ensure servicing and repairs are compliant with all governing bodies. Additional responsibilities include financial, TSAT, RCM, safety training and development of the team they support.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift supervisors and technicians in daily activities of the Weld, Fiberglass, Paint, Machine, and Hydraulic shops. Monitors the labor and purchasing budget while maintaining proper equipment and supply levels for the division.
Work closely with Engineering and QC to ensure all fabrication and repair procedures are in compliance with all applicable requirements. Manages and approves ECN and DCN processes for the area of responsibility.
Manages and assists special projects as assigned from start through completion. Duties to include performing business gap analysis, requirements evaluations, design and development of project plans, cost estimating and tracking, production of documentation and deliverables, coordination and implementation of applications or solutions.
Manages discretionary and work order backlog for the machine, weld, paint, hydraulic shops and special projects. Ensures work is completed when requested. Interfaces with all other departments across UO to ensure customer satisfaction on products delivered.
Financial responsibility. Ensures shops are kept on budget and overtime is kept to a minimum. Routinely manages capital requests and execution of approved capital projects. Makes sure all capital needs are input into the system and priority-reviewed regularly.
TSAT, employee safety, training and EHS compliance are always the highest priority. Ensures the teams are working within compliance and are current on training on all proper safety compliance and regulations. Ensures all team members are always up to date on their safety training.
Supports growth and development of the team and ensures all team members are properly trained for all work activities and proper management of team members. Works hand in hand with all departments within UO.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Scope includes the Major Responsibilities described above as well as the Job Summary. The focus of the work performed is to ensure UO attractions meet all operational commitments regarding vehicle count as well as meeting show quality requirements in the parks.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required.
Associate’s degree (AA) is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
7 to 10 years of theme park maintenance and supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
NAARSO (National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials) inspector certification level 2 required.
