
Account Manager - Commercial Lines

Hotaling Insurance Services is a family-owned, full-service risk management family office with nationwide offices across the United States. The firm specializes in delivering customized insurance and risk management solutions for businesses and individuals, supported by more than two decades of industry experience. This role will be responsible for providing excellent attention to detail of assigned customers and/or policies, soliciting new business on existing accounts, and supporting Producer-led new business and renewal efforts.
Job Responsibilities
Creates signature service interactions with clients by responding in a timely manner to inquiries and listening for additional opportunities to address their coverage needs
Reviews client exposures, loss experience and current coverage and recommends appropriate products and services. Presents clients with accurate market data from appropriate resources to advise and counsel on complex risks.
Proactively owns and manages assigned book of business.
Supports Producers in addressing client questions and/or concerns.
Utilizes strong knowledge of Commercial Lines/Construction coverage to review and proactively process renewals and upgrade coverage levels.
Effectively processes all endorsement requests, cancellations, billing inquiries, and day-to-day service related issues in a timely manner, adhering to best practices standards and communicating such process to the client as necessary.
Solicits and/or cross sells additional coverage required to effectively round out the account.
Provides policy and exposure analysis and/or assessment to determine appropriate coverage options to ensure client is adequately insured.
Addresses complex coverage issues in a creative solution‑motivated manner.
Maintains organizational efficiency through continual business process improvement.
Ensures client data integrity through accurate data entry, file maintenance, and professional business communication.
Assists Property & Casualty team proactively and assists with a variety of administrative duties.
Initiates action to help team achieve organizational goals in production and client satisfaction.
Be a self‑starter and willing to take “ownership” of day‑to‑day service issues related to assigned book of business.
Maintains professional development and certification through active learning opportunities.
Expands professional development to keep abreast of changes in the insurance industry as a whole.
Networks with other insurance professionals to maintain competitive market intelligence.
Researches changes in insurance company underwriting guidelines, products and policy conditions that may affect the member’s business operations.
Stays abreast of changes within the industry relating to services and procedures.
Participates and attends community relations activities per business needs.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications
3-5 years related work experience
Valid P&C insurance license
Applied EPIC experience preferred but required
Knowledge of commercial insurance products and small business risk exposures
Strong communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems.
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal.
