
Machinist - Level 2 (2nd Shift M-Th) 4pm - 2am

Overview
As a Machinist Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for operating and setting up machine tools to produce precision metal parts and instruments. You will work with blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure the highest quality and accuracy in machining operations. You will report directly to our Shop Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Greer, SC location on an on-site work schedule (2nd Shift M–Th, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM). In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes by producing components that meet customer requirements and contribute to the overall success of our production goals.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision parts.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
Perform quality checks and measurements to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
Maintain and adjust machines to optimize performance and ensure safety compliance.
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes and equipment operation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality control.
Experience with setting up and operating CNC machines and manual machine tools.
Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a machine shop environment.

You Must Have
Proven experience as a machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes and equipment operation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality control.
Experience with setting up and operating CNC machines and manual machine tools.
Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a machine shop environment.
We Value
Associate’s degree or technical certification in machining or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a machining role within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with CNC programming and CAD/CAM software.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing production demands.
