Job Title: Early Care and Education (ECE) Professional Development Coordinator and Provider Navigator
Reports To: Director of Early Learning
FLSA Status: Salary – Exempt
Hours expected: 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
Start Date: July 1, 2026
Hiring Range: $52,000 – $55,000
The salary offered will be based on the applicant’s ability to meet requirements and preference listed below.

POSITION SUMMARY
The ECPAC ECE Professional Development Coordinator and Navigator is a self-motivated, passionate professional who helps to coordinate professional development opportunities for ECE professionals and provides support, using best practices, for ECE programs and families participating in the Universal Pre‑K program as determined by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood. This position requires a strong vision of and commitment to ensuring children in Adams County attend high quality early learning settings and that families have access to information about high quality care. In addition, this position requires the ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with a diverse coalition of early childhood care & education providers, school districts, and other support staff such as ECE Quality Coaches, Family Childcare Navigator, Career Navigator, Early Childhood Mental Health Consultants, and Family Support Specialists.
QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of best practices in quality early care and education service delivery.
Working knowledge of the early care and education system, including but not limited to the ECE state systems including but not limited to the Colorado Shines Quality Improvement System, the Professional Development Information System (PDIS), and the Universal Pre‑K system.
Strong ability to navigate technology/on‑line systems and support others in doing so.
Ability to work effectively with groups and individuals that represent a variety of needs, abilities, socioeconomic backgrounds, educational and early childhood philosophies.
High level working knowledge of computer technology, including Microsoft Office.
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills. Ability to facilitate small and large group meetings and provide training presentations is required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with early learning team and ECE programs to identify areas of need for professional development towards the provision of high‑quality care and in alignment with career pathways.
Secure contractors or ECPAC staff to provide training; secure locations for in‑person trainings and class series; market professional development opportunities; manage registration; ensure evaluation of training; support reporting.
Provide individualized navigation to ECE programs and families to support successful participation in the Universal Pre‑K program as determined by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood.
Coordinate outreach strategies to inform and support families to enroll in the Universal Pre‑K program, especially in areas with lower enrollment.
Provide information to and help ECE programs connect to available community resources to support their program and business.
Communicate and consult with ECPAC’s Early Learning Team, Early Childhood Mental Health Consultants and Family Support Specialists, as needed. This also includes communicating with the Colorado Department of Early Childhood as needed.
Work closely with the Director of Early Learning around activities related to marketing services, community information sharing and ECE workforce development opportunities.
Attend training specific to the Universal Pre‑K program, use of databases, provision of quality early care and education, and in turn provide trainings as appropriate to ECE professionals.
Support Director of Early Learning with monitoring grant resource usage.
Other duties as assigned by the ECPAC Director of Early Learning.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – NOT REQUIRED
Preference may be given to candidates with the following qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in the provision of early care and education services
Completed early childhood coursework;
Bilingual
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, as local travel of approximately 200 miles per month is expected.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to work in multiple settings with multiple organizations
Use computer for periods of time up to two hours
Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for periods of time up to three hours
Ability to lift/push/pull/carry various objects of 30‑40 pounds
Ability to reach to shoulder level and above
Ability to bend at the hips and knees
Drive various distances in all types of weather conditions – travel is expected at about 100 miles per month
Ability to work evenings and weekends on occasion
