*Responsibilities*

* Ensure patients feel comfortable and relaxed before and during treatment
* Perform thorough prophylaxis and periodontal care
* Conduct initial oral health screenings and review medical histories
* Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontal disease
* Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene techniques
* Take digital X-rays and impressions as needed
* Apply fluoride and preventive treatments
* Assist the dentist in identifying and discussing treatment options
* Provide post-treatment care instructions
* Maintain accurate patient documentation and charting
* Monitor and maintain hygiene supplies
* Follow sterilization and infection control protocols

*Skills & Qualifications*

* Licensed *Registered Dental Hygienist in Iowa*
* Dental Hygiene degree or diploma from an accredited program
* Knowledge of HIPAA and infection control standards
* Experience with periodontal care and soft tissue management preferred
* Strong communication and patient education skills
* Friendly, patient-focused personality
* Strong attention to detail and organization

In Summary: We are looking for a Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices . Duties revolve around conducting initial patient screenings, cleaning teeth (e.g. removing plaque) and advising patients on oral health and preventative care . You should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages .

*Responsabilidades*

* Asegurar que los pacientes se sientan lo más cómodos posible antes de su examen
* Esterilizar adecuadamente los instrumentos
