We are seeking a
Capital Project Manager
to support capital construction activities at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in the Cincinnati area. This role serves as the owner’s on-site representative, ensuring contractors execute work safely, on schedule, and in alignment with project expectations within an active GMP-regulated environment.
Initial project scope includes completion of a packaging line, installation of an isolator, and support of facility upgrades such as roof replacement and infrastructure improvements. This is a hands‑on, field based role requiring daily site presence and direct engagement with contractors and trades.
Responsibilities
Serve as the owner’s on‑site representative across multiple construction and facility upgrade projects
Monitor contractor execution for safety, schedule adherence, and quality of installation
Review field progress against construction drawings and project scope
Verify completion of installed work (ductwork, piping, utilities, equipment, structural components)
Coordinate contractor access and compliance with site entry and safety procedures
Support completion of a packaging line installation and isolator integration
Identify risks, delays, sequencing conflicts, and safety concerns and escalate appropriately
Provide routine field updates to project leadership and site stakeholders
Coordinate construction activities within an active GMP manufacturing environment
Interface with contractors, operations, engineering, and the Global Project Director to maintain alignment across project priorities
Qualifications
Experience supporting capital construction projects in regulated manufacturing environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, food, or similar)
Strong ability to interpret and verify work against construction drawings and installation scope
Demonstrated success overseeing contractor execution in active production facilities
Working knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, ductwork, piping, and utilities
Comfortable maintaining a consistent daily field presence
Experience holding contractors accountable for schedule, sequencing, and safety expectations
Ability to identify installation gaps or discrepancies and elevate appropriately
Strong communication skills with both technical teams and construction trades
Experience working in GMP environments
