
Corporate Accounting Advisor

Essential Functions
Serves as project lead for the compilation, analysis and preparation of financial and statistical information in support of accounting and financial analysis of FedEx companies.
Consolidated reporting and/or reporting in compliance with SEC rules and regulations.
Provide interpretation and support to users of financial statements.
Lead projects related to the design and enhancement of financial reporting systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Serves as a subject matter advisor supporting the execution, quality, and continuous improvement of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program, with primary responsibility for independent control testing, knowledge transfer, and driving higher-quality outcomes across the program.
Essential Functions cont.
Serve as a SOX subject matter expert, performing and overseeing independent testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
Provide technical SOX guidance and coaching to team members to enhance testing quality, consistency, and professional judgment.
Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness, identify deficiencies, and support clear, well-supported conclusions.
Contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies, documentation standards, and overall program quality.
Engage with key stakeholders across Finance, IT, and business functions to communicate testing results, resolve issues, and support timely and effective remediation.
Work independently with minimal supervision while influencing program effectiveness through expertise and leadership.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in accounting or finance-related discipline.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years experience in public accounting or the accounting department of a public company.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong accounting and reporting skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, project management and communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA License, SOX experience preferred
Pay Transparency
Pay: $5,638.08 USD/month - $11,276.15 USD/month
Additional Details
The desired locations for this position would be Collierville, TN or Plano, TX. This position may be eligible for relocation.
