Dual Enrollment Coordinator supports the growth of Cleveland State’s Dual Enrollment program by coordinating operations, advising, compliance and outreach. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the college and local high schools, building and maintaining relationships with administrators, counselors, and families. The role includes managing student registration and advising, monitoring academic progress, coordinating student events, and ensuring compliance with state and institutional requirements.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.

Valid driver’s license.

Minimum of four (4) years of experience in any combination of:

Education (e.g., admissions, instruction, student orientations).

Advising (course selection, educational planning, monitoring student progress).

Program Coordination (planning, implementing, supporting initiatives, managing timelines, tracking outcomes).

Essential Job Functions
Program Management & Development (30%)

Lead the daily operations of the Dual Enrollment program, focusing on growth, retention, and student success.

Coordinate academic pathways aligning high school graduation requirements with college degree completion.

Oversee Dual Enrollment Grant reporting, reconciliation, and compliance with institutional, state and TBR requirements.

Assist in developing marketing and recruitment strategies to increase program participation.

Maintain and update pathway models and program information across communication channels, including the college website.

Student Advising & Support (25%)

Serve as the primary point of contact for Dual Enrollment students, advising on course selection, registration, academic progress and program requirements.

Monitor and track student academic performance, attendance and engagement, providing timely support and referrals.

Use proactive communication methods (email, phone, text) to support early intervention and build strong relationships.

Coordinate advising and registration processes with academic departments and deans.

Outreach, Communication & Partnerships (15%)

Serve as a liaison to high schools, students and families for Dual Enrollment and EPSO programming, communicating deadlines, eligibility, updates and events.

Develop and maintain strong partnerships with high school administrators, counselors and faculty.

Support and participate in outreach events, orientation sessions and college visit opportunities for prospective EPSO students.

Assist with EPSO department-wide initiatives and serve as a representative of the broader department when appropriate.

Event Coordination, Records & Compliance (25%)

Plan and coordinate EPSO-related events, including orientation sessions, recruitment activities and graduation celebrations.

Maintain accurate records of student advising, progress and interactions in compliance with FERPA and institutional policies.

Track and report program data and student outcomes; assist with MOUs and articulation agreements; support continuous program improvement.

Ensure compliance with state, federal, TBR and institutional regulations; stay current on best practices; be available during peak periods and occasional extended or evening hours.

Non-Essential Functions (5%)

Serve on college committees as needed.

Meet required standards of the Tennessee Board of Regents and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

May be required to achieve additional skill, knowledge or credential levels.

Maintain flexibility in working hours, especially during peak periods.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Responsibilities

Strong communication skills to engage students, parents, faculty and K–12 partners.

Strong organizational, planning and project management skills; manage multiple priorities quickly.

Experience with student information systems, data management and recordkeeping.

Familiarity with FERPA and related compliance regulations; ensure adherence to dual enrollment policies.

Analytical skills to interpret data for continuous improvement and program evaluation.

Commitment to customer service best practices, providing responsive, consistent, student-centered support under pressure.

Knowledge of dual enrollment policies, high school partnerships and postsecondary pathways.

Flexible work schedule, including evenings and extended hours.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred experience with dual enrollment, early college, and K‑12/higher education partnerships.

Applicants may be subject to a background and credit check.

Applicants will work on-site in Cleveland, Tennessee and travel to high schools and occasional state meetings.
