We are committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone can be authentic, make an impact, and grow their career.**Join us!****THE ROLE**This is a hands-on position performing general maintenance duties to keep the facility in good operating condition.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Perform general building maintenance to include painting, carpentry, plumbing and repair.* Maintain shop equipment and workstation with attention to safety and housekeeping.* Perform preventative maintenance on various pieces of mechanical equipment.* Follow all safety rules and regulations.* Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately.* Perform other duties as assigned by Facility Engineer.**QUALIFICATIONS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.**Education and/or Experience*** Two or more years of experience in general maintenance.* Able to read and understand English.**Skills and Abilities*** Knowledge of electrical systems as it relates to maintenance.* Skill in mechanical maintenance.* Ability to recognize and use simple hand-held, manual and power tools needed for performance of general maintenance duties.* Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time on hard-surface floor.* Ability to work with minimum supervision and understand verbal and written instructions.* Ability to lift 50 pounds.* Ability to operate a forklift.**COMPENSATION**Competitive wages, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.**WORKING CONDITIONS****Location:** On Site, you may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays**DeVos Place,** may be required to assist at other buildings**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
