Overview
Fastenal’s distribution center is hiring energetic, team-oriented individuals to work in a fast‑paced warehouse as a Part‑time Customer Site Packaging associate. The role involves facilitating the movement of product through our customer site and is entry level, located at 2513 58th St, Hampton, VA. The position may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
Responsibilities
Inspecting and packaging product
Using a computer to perform job duties
Running a variety of packaging machines
Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area
Complying with health, safety, and sustainability rules and expectations
Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety, and sustainability objectives
Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
Required Position Qualifications
18 years of age or older
Proficient written and oral communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Highly motivated, self‑directed and customer‑service oriented
Willingness to perform repetitive tasks over long periods of time
Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25–50 lbs and may weigh up to 100 lbs
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
Pass a background check, required by a customer/contract serviced by this location
