Progyny is seeking a Graduate Student Intern to support the Talent Acquisition (TA) team in building a comprehensive, data-driven analytics foundation. This role will focus on designing and developing a centralized TA metrics dashboard and generating actionable insights to improve hiring outcomes, increase efficiency, and enable faster, higher-quality hiring decisions.
This is a high-impact, project-based internship ideal for a candidate interested in applying analytics and AI to real-world Talent Acquisition challenges.
What you will do
TA Dashboard Development
Partner with the Director of Talent Acquisition and Talent Intelligence Associate to design and build a centralized TA dashboard
Assess current data sources (e.g., ATS, spreadsheets) and identify gaps
Define key metrics and KPIs aligned to TA and business goals
Build dashboards tracking pipeline health, time‑to‑fill, time‑in‑stage, conversion rates, source effectiveness, diversity metrics, and recruiter productivity
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
Iterate on dashboard design based on stakeholder feedback
Data Analysis & Insights
Conduct funnel analysis to identify bottlenecks in the hiring process
Analyze recruiter productivity and capacity
Identify trends and patterns to improve hiring outcomes
Translate data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
AI & Advanced Analytics
Leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance data analysis and insight generation
Develop predictive or forward-looking analyses (e.g., time‑to‑fill forecasts, pipeline conversion estimates)
Identify patterns and trends in recruiting data using AI-assisted methods
Explore opportunities to use AI to improve sourcing strategies, job descriptions, and candidate engagement
Generate automated or semi-automated summaries of key insights for stakeholders
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with TA leadership to understand reporting needs and priorities
Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and compelling way
Incorporate feedback to continuously improve reporting and dashboards
About you
Currently pursuing a graduate degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Analytics, Data Science, HR, or related field)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar)
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; SQL or data querying experience
Experience building dashboards or analytics projects from scratch
Familiarity or interest in AI tools and applications in analytics
Ability to translate data into insights and business recommendations
Strong communication and presentation skills
Interest in Talent Acquisition, HR analytics, or people analytics
Experience working with recruiting or HR data, preferred
Exposure to ATS platforms (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby), preferred
Location & Other Requirements

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the hourly salary range for NYC-based applicants is: $25.00/hour - $50.00/hour. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
