
STAFFING COORDINATOR- FULL TIME

River Oaks Hospital is a private psychiatric facility located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana, serving adults, adolescents, and children. Since 1970 it has provided quality treatment for acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma‑based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders on a 14‑acre campus with inpatient, day, partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient services.
Responsibilities
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating scheduling needs of the Nursing Department (registered nurses and mental health technicians) in a behavioral health inpatient setting in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Nursing, House Supervisor, and Milieu Manager. The role ensures staffing requirements are met, assigns PRN staff to supplement schedule vacancies, and performs additional duties as needed, in accordance with the facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of staff scheduling experience in lieu of degree
1‑2 years staffing experience REQUIRED. Census‑driven inpatient healthcare staff scheduling experience preferred. Experience with UKG scheduling software a plus!
Ability to assist staff with scheduling requirements, enforce policies related to scheduling, time off, attendance and elevate concerns to nursing leadership in a timely manner.
Ability to clearly speak, write and understand verbal and written English.
Ability to work with all staff, department heads and nursing leadership in a team environment.
