Material Handler (Shipping & Receiving) 1st Shift

Responsibilities
Ensure the effective and timely completion of all shipping and receiving functions.
Ensure all shipping and receiving functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Sort and count packages, labels, totes, etc. for inventory to ensure accuracy.
Pull product from cooler, freezer & production floor.
Perform a physical count of inventory.
Restock items as necessary for production.
Operate heavy equipment.
Load and unload trailers.
Establish and maintain good communication, coordination, and working relations with company personnel and vendors.
Complete and maintain shipping related paperwork accurately.
Complete all shipping and receiving documentation in accordance with customer and company policies and procedures.
Use proper personal protective equipment effectively.
Expected to work hands‑on at safe speeds and times to lift over 50 pounds.
Keep work areas clean and follow proper food safety protocols.
Inspect inbound and outbound and/or packaging.
Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
Work regularly in temperatures near or below freezing (Coolers, Loading Dock Freezer).
Work in damp or cold conditions (20-30°F Fabrication).
Work outside in a weather‑related environment.
Work in areas that require you to lift, pull, or push 50 lbs.
Work with sharp knives or a cutting tool.
LIFTING/PUSHING/PULLING– 10 lbs. -50 lbs. production.
NEUTRAL WRIST – Repetitive hand motions and grasping.
Work Environment
The work environment may include cold and/or hot temperatures. It may also require the use of sharp tools such as knives.
