Forklift Operator
Operates and drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts, boots, ramps, crates, and trailer hitches to push, pull, lift, stack, and move products, equipment, or materials in warehouses, storage yards, or factories. Positions the fork or lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, or other items and transports the load to designated areas. Must control movement of lifting apparatus using levers and pedals while maintaining safety and efficiency.

$16 per hour
Hours:
Monday‑Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Responsibilities
Operate forklift in warehouse and production areas.
Prior to shift start, ensure propane tanks are filled, equipment is flushed, and all fluids checked.
Grease fittings as needed.
Stack raw materials neatly and orderly.
Sweep warehouse daily and empty trash bins when full.
Verify paperwork (packing slip and weight ticket) for all loaded trucks and perform a double‑count with another associate, with both parties signing off that the correct product amount has been loaded.
Attach load seals to all trucks before they leave the dock.
Stack plywood during pod teardown and band as required when racks are full.
Complete daily records for re‑stacks and returned bags.
Wear seat belts at all times and operate lift at a safe speed.
Stack junk pallets and dispose of them properly later.
Clean up warehouse at end of shift.
Assist other production areas as needed.
Move and wrap completed products.
Assist shift leads in starting and stopping pellet mills.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Prior forklift and production‑line experience preferred.
Good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
Must pass company forklift training.
Ability to concentrate for extended periods and multi‑task.
Expected to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for at least 7 hours per day.
Must read and interpret scales.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for simple maintenance.
Ability to perform simple math calculations.
