Overview
Job Title: Assistant Manager, E-Commerce (621) – Department 1005
Summary: The Assistant Manager, E-Commerce (ASM) supports Goodwill's mission by managing a team responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing tasks, projects, and assignments to meet performance and budget expectations. The ASM assists in daily operations of Goodwill's E-Commerce and E-Books warehouse, upholds policies and procedures, monitors performance metrics, and manages staffing, training, and team development. The role is accountable for personal performance and for the warehouse’s performance.
Application Deadline and Compensation: Application deadline is 04.30.2026. Pay: $58,180.00 annually.

Responsibilities
The ASM staffs, trains, and manages direct reports to achieve individual and departmental goals.
Track and report to warehouse and executive management effectively and consistently.
Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards and KPIs for assigned duties.
Monitor, track, and report on associate performance and KPIs daily, weekly, and monthly to associates, management, and executive staff.
Oversee daily operations of all functional areas, including the warehouse floor, product and staff workflow, and related activities.
Communicate team and individual goals to meet or exceed daily production goals; ensure the team is aware of goals and accomplishments.
Adhere to and enforce corporate, departmental, and functional area policies and procedures; address deviations or noncompliance.
Act as a Safety Representative; model safety standards in compliance with OSHA and CARF; participate in monthly safety meetings, training, inspections, and required reporting.
Recommend changes to operational procedures to maximize expense-to-revenue efficiency.
Maintain awareness of competition and retail trends; suggest appropriate courses of action.
Maintain knowledge of the E-Commerce platform and collaborate with the management team to optimize resource use.
Directly responsible for hiring, performance management, employee goal setting, and termination recommendations.
Partner with Manager and Director to conduct employee training, awareness, and knowledge transfer meetings.
Demonstrate initiative and commitment to Goodwill’s mission; motivate and guide others toward achievement.
Ensure duties are completed accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.
Build and maintain productive relationships with management, coworkers, customers, and donors; communicate effectively and promote teamwork and cooperation.
Adapt to new technology and platform updates to maintain operational efficiency.
Maintain, track, and report consumable resources; ensure supplies are available to support daily needs.
Keep a clean and organized work area to ensure safe and efficient workflow for employees and customers.
Adhere to Goodwill and department policies, the Employee Handbook, and safety standards.
Use and become certified on pallet jack, walkie stacker, forklift, hand dolly, and other equipment; train staff and oversee safety.
Able to obtain certification in all employee positions via On the Job (OJT) documentation.
Work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of direct report management experience required; minimum of three (3) years of operational or production management in a light manufacturing warehouse environment or similar is preferred.
Other: Ability to manage multiple projects and staff; understanding of production processes, deadlines, and quality control; ability to review and understand warehouse reports to improve efficiency; ability to adapt to changing circumstances; strong verbal and written communication; physical ability to stand, reach, and bend as needed; ability to drive on company business; willingness to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as required.
Driver Requirements: Applicants/employees who drive for company business must meet auto insurance carrier requirements (age and license criteria) and undergo Motor Vehicle Record and background checks; must have a valid Colorado driver license and operate company vehicles in accordance with laws. Personal vehicle use for company business requires valid insurance and roadworthy vehicle.
