What you will be doing:
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
Installs and modifies mechanical equipment & mechanical systems
Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains mechanical equipment & mechanical systems
Identifies malfunction of equipment/systems
Disassembly of equipment
Repairs/Replaces structural components
Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments
Supports Production staff through effective and timely assistance and repairs
Accomplishes all work in orders to maintain safety, reduce downtime, improve quality production and improve plant efficiency
Ensures all equipment documentation is complete and properly processed
Maintains and updates control documents
Reviews and completes Management of Change (MOC) documentation
Plans, leads and executes small projects (including cost reduction and six sigma)
Safely handles hazardous chemicals and wastes according to requisite policies and regulations.
What makes you great:
High School Diploma/GED required, Associates Degree in related field preferred
3+ years Maintenance/Repair experience (non-automotive) or related chemical industry experience.
Experience working in a plant/production environment preferred
Ability to read P&ID’s, understands plant systems and is able to troubleshoot system problems
Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and electrical schematics a plus
Knowledge of plant policies to include LOTO and HWP’s
Willing to work overtime, Saturdays and off shift work when it’s needed for projects
