As a Quality Intern at Amphenol Industrial Operations, you’ll roll up your sleeves and work alongside our Quality team to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. From inspecting electrical components and cable assemblies to crunching data and driving continuous improvement, this internship is your chance to gain hands‑on experience in quality control while learning the ropes of quality management in a real‑world manufacturing environment.
$21/hour
Part Time or Full Time - Summer 2026
Responsibilities
Assist with incoming, in‑process, and final inspection of electrical connectors, cables, and assemblies.
Support documentation and record‑keeping for quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, corrective actions, and audits.
Help analyze nonconforming materials and assist in root cause investigations.
Participate in corrective and preventive action activities under the guidance of the Quality Supervisor.
Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Assist in maintaining calibration records for measurement and test equipment.
Observe and learn about ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949 quality systems (depending on company certifications).
Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to support quality initiatives.
Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects and improving process efficiency.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Interest in quality assurance, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement.
Basic knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.) a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Learning Outcomes
Exposure to real‑world quality management practices in a manufacturing environment.
Hands‑on experience with inspection, quality systems, and problem‑solving methodologies.
Understanding of supplier quality, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
