Lead, Innovate, and Grow at Clariant! As a Maintenance Planner in Clariant’s Adsorbents & Additives Business Unit, you will plan and coordinate safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance work while ensuring conditions are continuously improved. You will create detailed job plans, define scopes, resources, and costs, and support seamless execution through SAP/CMMS systems.
Collaborating closely with maintenance, operations, and external partners, you will keep work moving forward ; supporting daily activities, resolving critical needs, and enabling successful project execution. In this role, your planning and coordination will directly drive reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across operations.
Responsibilities
Recognized and applies Clariant Life Savings Rules into all work and strives to make conditions better than found.
Required occasional night or weekend schedule as required by business need.
Uses Microsoft and basic computer skills to access CMMS, Training, Drawings, Etc.
Requires lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying up to 25 lbs, and climb stairs/ladders up to 180 feet.
Create job plans for the effective execution of work by providing job scopes, job step sequence, labor and material requirements, skill requirements, specifying the necessary tools and equipment, external resources, and determining work order costs.
Create task lists (job plan library) for recurring jobs.
Create purchase requisitions and reservations for necessary materials, equipment or services and orders material.
Create Job Packets as needed by providing spec sheets, vendor manuals, P&IDs, pictures, isolation plans, job plan/feedback form, etc.
Assist in emergency or critical priority jobs by expediting materials and coordinating other crafts/resources and fulfilling any other activities (non-standard) assigned by the supervisor.
Create job plans for the effective execution of Downtime projects: job scopes, job step sequence, labor and material requirements, skill requirements, specifying the necessary tools and equipment, external resources, and determining work order costs
Determine the appropriate degree of planning.
Utilize the proper SAP status codes including work order start and finish dates to allow proper scheduling of the work order
Plan and execute R&M, CleanOps, or Big Project Capital Projects
Plan, manage, and execute mechanical, electrical, or general labor jobs.
Requirements
High School Diploma /GED or Technical Degree + experience
5 to 10 years of experience of industrial planning experience
Reduced years of experience may be acceptable with a strong planning background.
