Job Description
Third Future Schools is a high‑achieving and growing network of charter schools. The network’s school in Colorado Springs, Coperni 3, is seeking a DYAD Physical Education Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students.
This role is part of the DYAD program – a “two in one” model that connects classroom learning with community‑based expertise to provide students with meaningful, hands‑on learning experiences. The Physical Education Consultant helps students build confidence, teamwork, discipline, coordination, sportsmanship, and habits of success through movement, fitness, and age‑appropriate physical activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide engaging, structured, and experience‑based instruction in physical education
Develop and provide your own curriculum aligned to the elective you teach
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both your expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands‑on learning experiences
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction
Use your expertise to connect classroom learning to real‑world experiences
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through class showcases, skill demonstrations, presentations, or other demonstrations of learning
Qualifications
Skill, knowledge, and first‑hand experience in physical education, fitness, sports, or movement‑based instruction
Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting
Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills
Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience‑based learning
Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement
Compensation
This is an hourly position paid at $30 per hour. No benefits are provided.

At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred
Citizenship, residency or work visa required
