Overview
Occupational Health Registered Nurse needed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift, PER-DIEM contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known manufacturing client located in Arlington, TX. Main requests recently have been for 2nd & 3rd shift with a good amount of Fridays & Saturdays.
Schedule/Shifts
1st shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm
2nd shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm with Saturdays 2:00pm – 12:00am
3rd shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am
Responsibilities
Provide emergency care, first-aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within standing orders
Maintain knowledge of prevention of illness and injury, protection from work-related and environmental hazards, and promotion and restoration of health
Maintain accurate records related to OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, and corporate reporting
Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for sick or injured employees
Promote wellness and wellbeing initiatives at the site
Provide medical testing (e.g., drug screens, vision testing, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol) and perform limited interpretation of tests
Interface with health services customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner
Charting/documentation of care using EMR system (Cority)
Assist plant physician in minor surgical procedures
Respond to medical emergencies on the campus, as needed
What You’ll Need to Bring
Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Nurse in an Occupational Health, Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Corrections, School Nursing, and/or Family Practice setting
Flexible, adaptable, reliable, friendly, and helpful
High level of initiative and sound independent judgment
Current CPR/BLS
Computer skills with experience using EMR (Cority experience a plus)
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
