
Maintenance Engineer II

Job Description
Other duties as assigned. Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Performs building repairs. Identifies proper tools for tasks and consults with appropriate personnel, as needed. Ensures materials are readily available. Completes preventive maintenance tasks and work orders in a timely manner and according to protocol. Utilizes and completes computer-based work order software with demonstrated knowledge. Visits assigned areas daily to solicit customer feedback. Conducts walkthroughs in assigned areas to observe and correct repairs. Uses proper safety procedures, including lockout/tag-out and personal protective equipment per policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of building systems such as chillers, boilers, building automation, HVAC, fire alarm systems [Required]
Ability to communicate in English [Required]
Basic computer skills [Required]
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents [Required]
General knowledge of maintenance areas: air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm systems, tube systems, telephones, paging systems, and power plant systems [Required]
Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing within the healthcare field [Preferred]
Knowledge of safe handling and maintenance of tools and equipment [Preferred]
Basic Microsoft Office computer skills [Preferred]
Education
High school or equivalent graduate or five or more years of experience [Required]
Work Experience
Three or more years of general maintenance experience [Required]
Licenses and Certifications
Driver's License (DL) [Required]

Pay Range
$19.22 – $35.75
