Job Summary: American Grit Electric is looking for a licensed Residential Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Choctaw. This role focuses on high-quality residential new construction, custom home wiring, and service repairs. We are looking for a professional who is efficient, punctual, and takes pride in delivering clean, code-compliant work for our local customers.
Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in single-family and multi-family residences.
* Wire new residential construction and custom homes from rough-in to finish trim.
* Perform service upgrades, panel swaps, and circuit troubleshooting.
* Install residential fixtures, including lighting, ceiling fans, and EV charging stations.
* Read and interpret residential blueprints and technical diagrams.
* Communicate clearly with homeowners to explain repairs and provide straightforward solutions.
* Ensure all work meets the current National Electrical Code (NEC) and local Choctaw/OKC building codes.
Qualifications:
* License: Current Oklahoma Residential Journeyman or Unlimited Journeyman Electrician License.
* Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in residential electrical wiring and service.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of NEC residential requirements and troubleshooting techniques.
* Tools: Must possess a full set of personal hand tools and basic cordless power tools.
* Driving: Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (for operating company service vehicles).
* Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in attics/crawlspaces, and stand for extended periods.
