Job DetailsConstruction Project Cost EstimatorPosition Summary:The Construction Project Cost Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. The role supports preconstruction, bidding, budgeting, and value engineering efforts while working closely with project management, field operations, subcontractors, and leadership. The Estimator plays a key role in setting projects up for successful execution.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare bid estimates for commercial construction projects from early concept through final bidding.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
• Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
• Develop budgets, unit pricing, and bid summaries
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and constructability issues
• Participate in value engineering and cost optimization efforts
• Support project handoff to project management and field teams
• Assist with change order pricing and project cost reviews as needed
• Perform additional project-related tasks as required or directed by the Director of Construction / company leadership

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience (GC preferred).
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam or similar).
• Strong Excel and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with conceptual narrative, negotiated, design-build, or preconstruction services.
• Knowledge of local subcontractor markets and pricing.
• Experience across industrial, warehouse, office, & retail projects.
