
Probation Secretary/Administrative Assistant

Position performs a variety of administrative duties that are assigned by the Director of Probation.
Examples Of Duties
Collects restitution, probation fee and drug test payments.
Conducts eligibility interviews for court appointed counsel.
Greets visitors, answers incoming calls and provides information or directs inquiries to appropriate staff.
Schedules offenders for court ordered OVI programs and community service.
Assists in collecting fingerprints.
Prepares and maintains probation case files, reports and confidential information.
Delivers case files and correspondence to other departments several times per day.
Performs all other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and meet and maintain insurability under the City's insurance plan.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong knowledge of clerical practices, record keeping and general office procedures.
Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn case management systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with judges, attorneys, staff and the public.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Familiar with legal processes and court operations.
A high level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
