Job Description

Job Number 721232BR Description: This position is intended to be a development position for eventual Pipefitter/Plumber "A" consideration. Must complete necessary training requirements and on the job experience to be considered for journeyman Pipefitter/Plumber. Installs water, gas, air, oil, steam lines, valves, fittings, and plumbing fixtures after layout has been determined by others. Assists in locating, installing, connecting and testing water distribution, sewer & wastewater lines & other plumbing systems. Repairs, replaces, maintains, or takes other corrective action on such items as broken, leaking or corroded lines, air, water, and gas valves, both above and below ground level. Does repair work on clogged sewer drains and sanitary plumbing equipment. Performs preventive maintenance, routine and periodic functional and performance checks on steam, water, gas, oil, waste treatment and plumbing lines and accessories. Assists journeymen level Pipefitter/Plumber as required and supports other trades as required to assure productive time when apprenticeship level Pipefitter/Plumber work is less than full time hours in a given week.
Basic Qualifications: Ability to follow direction and assist journeymen level Pipefitter/Plumbers as required At least 1 year of maintenance work experience in the plumbing & pipefitting trade disciplines. Ability to utilize standard industry equipment and tools such as pipe wrenches, soldering torches, soil pipe cutters, & hammer drills and specialty equipment such as pipe threading & grooving machines, sewer line cleaners, oxy-acetylene gas cutting & preheat torches. Ability to perform service at a Commercial/Industrial Facility. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI government security clearance. Must possess and maintain a Colorado Driver License.
Desired Skills: Ability to read & interpret construction blueprints, isometric drawings, and sketches. Ability to perform work tasks to plumbing & fire codes and industry standard trade practices. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off The base range for this position in Colorado is $25.00 - $40.45.
