Janitor
This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in a health center after hours. The janitor performs a variety of housekeeping and custodial tasks, including cleaning operating rooms and common areas, disinfecting surfaces, and removing trash to support a hygienic and orderly facility.
Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize operating rooms, ensuring all surfaces and floors are thoroughly disinfected.
Clean and maintain bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
Clean patient rooms, offices, and other assigned areas within the health center.
Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as hallways, waiting rooms, and break rooms.
Perform janitorial tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors and carpets.
Disinfect high-touch surfaces and equipment to support a sanitary environment.
Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and recycling from all designated areas.
Replenish supplies such as paper products, soap, and other consumables as needed.
Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all tasks are completed during the shift.
Work independently or as part of a small team to complete assigned cleaning duties efficiently.
Adhere to health center guidelines and safety protocols while working around office staff, doctors, nurses, and patients.
Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the appropriate contact.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated experience with cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial duties.
Ability to perform dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and trash removal tasks effectively.
Knowledge of basic disinfecting and sanitizing practices.
Strong work ethic with a reliable and consistent attendance record.
Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Comfort working in a health center environment after hours.
Ability to interact professionally when in contact with office staff, doctors, nurses, and patients.
Capability to follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in environmental services, custodial work, or housekeeping in healthcare or similar settings.
Familiarity with operating standard cleaning equipment and products.
Attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Ability to manage time effectively to complete all assigned tasks during the shift.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
