Clerk, Admitting ER - FT Nights (Sunday-Wednesday)

Responsibilities:
Obtain and assemble patient demographic information.
Verify patient information on file is current, including emergency contacts and insurance details.
Register patients in Cerner using ACCESS Management or FIRSTNET, ensuring all registrations are accurate, verify for accuracy.
Distribute hospital-specific literature and ensure all required consents are signed prior to treatment.
After registration is completed, provide necessary information to the Emergency Department clinic staff.
Provide patients or their representatives with information regarding billing, the complaint process, patient rights, and the Privacy Notice.
Review the work queue in ACCESS Management daily for quality errors and address registration quality concerns promptly.
Maintain compliance with departmental standards and uphold the values of Three Crosses Regional Hospital, including customer service, safety, compliance, and related expectations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum of 1 year of medical field experience required.
Previous medical office experience preferred.
Basic experience with word processing, order entry, spreadsheets, and EMR systems required.
