A. Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor daily and weekly production schedules based on customer releases.
Meet and maintain finished & W.I.P. inventories to established levels.
Ensure that finished goods are available to support 100% on time shipments to customers.
Ensure accurate and timely production reporting as quantity produced, scrap quantity and its causes as well as downtime and its root causes.
Ensure production reporting and inventory accuracy using cycle counts.
Work with PE’s to implement and maintain a pull/kanban system (TPS) on all work cells.
Maximize usage of available systems to increase schedule effectiveness and efficiency of data entry.
Follow the policies and procedures of the Production department and IATF16949.
Abide by company health and safety regulations.
The position is responsible for organizing all assigned resources to produce products according to the current schedule.
The Production Manager must be aware at all times of any deviation from the current schedule, and will take appropriate action to either correct the shortfall, or advise the Plant Manager if the required corrective action exceeds his authority or available resources.
The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that all parts produced meet the approved "First‑off’s", and will work with Q.A. to maximize process capability.
The Production Manager will provide the leadership needed on the shop floor to ensure high productivity, morale and safety. The Production Manager is also responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
The Production Manager is responsible for production efficiency and scrap. They have the authority to stop production until quality issues have been resolved.
The Production Manager will work closely with the Human Resource to ensure that personnel with appropriate skills are being hired, appropriate training is being conducted, and proper disciplinary actions are taken for unacceptable conduct.
The Production Manager will rigorously enforce all required procedures for Quality Assurance, Inventory Control and Production Control.
Identify unsafe conditions and initiate required repair and maintenance of equipment and tooling.
Prepare analysis and reporting of production efficiency and productivity.
Participate in problem solving on Quality and Process problems.
Propose layout changes.
Participate in the development and implementation of data (e.g. Budgets, cycles) for use in the A.O.P.
Measure continuously the performance of the team according to the agreed KPI’s and define reachable but challenging goals to improve material usage, improve productivity and customer satisfaction through quality assurance.
Perform other related duties as instructed by management.
B. Minimum Qualifications
Two years of related experience as a Production Scheduler or
Two years of related experience in Production Supervision or
5 years’ experience in injection moulding, plastic parts painting and/or assembly process according to the responsibility area.
C. Required Skills
Interpersonal skills.
Injection moulding supervisory skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of MS office software.
Acquired knowledge of the company’s part numbers.
Knowledge of related policies and procedures.
Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function.
Procedures governing job functions.
Forms, labels and tags governing job function.
