Position Overview
We're looking for a hands-on, results-driven 2nd Shift Production Manager to lead operations on the production floor. In this role, you'll oversee shift performance, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a key leadership position where your ability to develop teams, solve problems, and maintain high standards will directly impact daily operations and long-term success.
What You'll Do
Lead and supervise all 2nd shift production operations
Drive safety, quality, and productivity across departments
Coach and develop supervisors and production team members
Monitor workflow and adjust labor/resources to meet production goals
Conduct floor walks to address issues and reinforce standards
Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMPs, and food safety regulations
Partner with HR on staffing, scheduling, and performance management
Track KPIs and identify opportunities for operational improvement
Support hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Several years of leadership experience in manufacturing or production
Strong ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of safety, quality, and production processes
Experience with coaching, employee development, and performance management
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Food manufacturing or refrigerated environment experience preferred
