Job Description
The Treasury Technology Supervisor is responsible for using and developing digital tools to support the Global Treasury function at UPS. This position works with cloud platforms, business intelligence tools, specialized treasury applications, databases, and programming languages to streamline processes related to data integrations, analysis, and reporting.
This position leads various projects, technology implementations and ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders. This position requires knowledge and experience with a variety of technologies combined with basic financial acumen.
This position performs business analysis by gathering, documenting, reviewing, and communicating business needs and requirements between users and system owners. This position performs current state analysis of business processes to identify areas for improvement. This position assesses requested information to ensure alignment with business needs and objectives. This position performs user acceptance testing by planning and executing testing scenarios to verify system enhancements meet user requirements. This position works cross-functionally to ensure business objectives are met.
Responsibilities
Builds and supports treasury processes using a variety of software and technologies
Utilizes automation tools to enhance treasury workflows and processes
Develops and maintains databases and analytical style SQL queries
Develops and publishes queries and reports for Treasury users
Creates system diagrams and business process flows to document current and future state solutions
Develops and executes test scenarios to ensure systems are built according to requirements
Develops plans that balance details with the big picture; adapts level of detail required for a given audience
Manages projects through complete project lifecycle including Initiation, Feasibility, Analysis, Execution and Closeout phases
Facilitates project meetings to discuss project details
Captures and follows up on project issues and action items to ensure completion of project tasks
Gathers and documents business, functional and technical requirements
Analyzes and monitors user acceptance testing results to ensure testing objectives are met
Assesses user training needs and coordinates change management and training activities
Provides support to Treasury users in the use of all Treasury-related systems and applications
Responds to ad hoc requests from Treasury users by providing reports and analysis
Keeps users informed of future system enhancements to prepare for contingency plans and simplify job duties and tasks
Leads and develops others in the team
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, a related field, or international equivalent
Technical aptitude to quickly learn internal and external systems
Microsoft Suite
Business Intelligence Software (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
Experience with databases and analytical style SQL queries (e.g. Oracle, BigQuery)
Ability to capture and document specific and accurate information, learn and complete work thoroughly, supply appropriate details when requested, and maintain organized files
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic to intermediate understanding of financial and accounting concepts
Knowledge of Python programming language for data science workflows - Preferred
Public cloud platforms (e.g. Azure/AWS/Google Cloud) - Preferred

Experience with enterprise finance and accounting systems
Experience with business analysis
Experience with project management
The position is based in Alpharetta, Georgia and will require commuting to office. Employer will not sponsor a visa for this position. Must be currently in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself.
