Job Description
The Bryan County School System is accepting applications for an Accounting Intership .
Position Overview
Providessupport and key accounting skillsfor financial and business functions of the School District. Assists the Finance Department in a variety of ways to implement the financial goals and operational procedures of the District.
Job Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in accounting OR be actively enrolled in a college/university pursuing an Accounting degree and in his/her junior or senior year of studies. The successful candidate must have the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities; must have ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues; must possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written; and must be able to modify or develop new procedures to meet specialized needs. Knowledge of GAAP and GASB accounting procedures.
The opening and closing dates of the internshipare an estimated timeframe we anticipate will be needed to gather a strong pool of candidates. The district reserves the right to removethe internship if it deems an acceptable pool of qualified candidates has been obtained. It is in the best interest of interested candidates to apply early.
