Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Princeton, NJ, Abbott Point of Care (APOC) Diagnostics Division.

Job Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis for the Princeton site and business unit strategic finance, with a strong focus on financial performance monitoring, standard costing, forecasting, and month‑end close. This role collaborates with Operations, Site Leadership and the broader Finance including Area and Division HQ FP&A.

Key Responsibilities

Provide cost planning, analysis, and reporting to senior leadership for the Princeton manufacturing site and Division HQ.

Conduct cost accounting and analysis including purchase price variance, overhead spending analysis, freight and distribution expense, inventory management, and capital spending.

Work closely with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Division HQ FP&A, and Commercial FP&A departments to provide detailed financial metrics and information.

Utilize systems including TM1 and other ERP (system with detailed transactions) to analyze actuals and variances.

Prepare accounting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly reporting packages to Finance and Business leadership.

Support the annual standard cost update process, including BOMs, routings, labor rates, overhead rates, and cost build reviews.

Identify improvement areas and actively work with Finance and IT to gain efficiency.

Division HQ FP&A Strategic Finance responsibilities: Daily sales, portfolio profitability Analysis, strategic headquarters budgets, and month‑end management reporting.

Work with Corporate Finance Shared Service and Division Finance Teams to support ad-hoc requests.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

Minimum 4 years of experience in FP&A, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, or similar roles.

Strong analytical skills to provide data and analysis to support decision making.

Preferred Qualifications

3 or more years of Manufacturing/Supply Chain experience is ideal.

3 or more years of previous experience working in a matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

3 or more years of working knowledge of TM1, SAP, Oracle

3 or more years of demonstrated experience in financial and variance analysis working with financial system applications.

Highly skilled in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Former or current experience in Abbott or similar working environment is ideal.

Compensation
The base pay for this position is $78,000.00 – $156,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
